Sunday blackout to affect 2 counties – Kenya Power

Kenya Power on Saturday announced an expected blackout that will affect Nairobi and Kisii counties on Sunday, December 17, 2023.

In a statement, the utility firm acknowledged that the power interruptions are part of network maintenance.

“Good Evening. The listed areas will be affected by planned power interruptions tomorrow (17th December 2023). The interruption is part of network maintenance. For the advance notice, use http://bit.ly/31u4jY4. To access the latest schedule, check under the most recent date,” Kenya Power said.

In Nairobi the power interruptions will affect Industrial Area, APS Limited, P Square industries, Samurai, Mash Poa Warehouse, Pioneer Plumbers Ltd, Carmax Auto Spares, Ramraj Complex, Mathare North Area 1, 2, and 3, Shell Petrol Station, Outering Road, Naivas Outering, Carmax Auto spares, Moi Forces Academy, Nisii Petrol Station, Redeemed Church, Huruma and adjacent customers from 9 am to 5 pm.

The outage in Kisii will affect areas such as Botori, Soko Mjinga,
Daraja Mbili Market, Nyanchwa Police Post, Nyaboke Flats, Kisii Golf Club, Rangi Mbili, Kisii State Lodge, Christamarian Hospital, and Treasury Kisii County from 9 am to 4 pm.
