President William Ruto on Saturday hosted teachers and students from Hawa Kosar Madrasa School, Garissa county at State House, Nairobi.
Also present during the meeting was his deputy Rigathi Gachagua and Defence Cabinet Secretary (CS) Aden Duale.
Speaking after the meeting, the Head of State lauded the school for its inspiring commitment to education and religious knowledge. He underscored that the government appreciates organisations that support efforts towards bridging the socioeconomic divide in the community through education and the empowerment of the vulnerable.
“Honoured to have hosted the Principal, teachers and students from the institution at State House, Nairobi; their commitment to education and religious knowledge is inspiring having grown from 20 students in 2012 to 627 today. Deputy President @rigathi and Defence Cabinet Secretary @HonAdenDuale were present,” the president said.
“The Government appreciates organisations that support efforts towards bridging the socioeconomic divide in the community through education and the empowerment of the vulnerable. We associate with the Hawa Kosar Madrasa in Garissa County for distinguishing itself as a centre of excellence, fostering a more inclusive, transformed and empowered society,” he added.
