Moja Expressway – the company that runs the 27-kilometre Nairobi Expressway, has dismissed reports that a car fell off the road on Saturday night.

The company in a statement issued on Sunday, January 15 rubbished the claims that the said vehicle went off the guard wall at South C on Mombasa Road yesterday night at around 9 pm.

“Our attention has been drawn to a misleading post by Ma3Route purporting that a car was involved in an accident and fell off the Nairobi Expressway on Saturday, January 14 2023 at 9.03 pm. Moja Expressway Company would wish to clarify that the accident in question did not take place on the Nairobi Expressway,” the firm clarified in a tweet.

Adding;

“MOJA Expressway Company would wish to clarify that the accident in question did not take place on the Nairobi Expressway nor was the motorist driving within the Nairobi Expressway prior to the accident along Bellevue, on the A8 road.”

Moja Expressway further noted that it prioritises road safety.

“We ensure that all motorists driving along the Nairobi Expressway adhere to the stipulated speed and follow the regulations of the Traffic Act.”
