Police officers are looking for a man alleged to have killed his girlfriend in cold blood before going into hiding in Molo, Nakuru county.

In a statement on Monday, December 5, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said the man identified as Moses Njeri stabbed his girlfriend Hannah Ndirangu,28, after a disagreement.

The report said the woman’s lifeless body was found on a sofa inside their house after neighbours broke in.

“The woman’s neighbours from the sleepy Tayari farm were the first to stumble on the deceased’s lifeless body, after gaining access to her wooden house through an opening in one of the walls. The suspect is believed to have escaped through the opening of the house,” the statement read in part.

Police discovered a kitchen knife at the scene.

“Detectives based at DCI Molo who rushed to the scene after being notified of the incident recovered a bloodstained vegetable knife, suspected to be the murder weapon,” the report further reads.

The woman’s body has since been moved to Molo Sub-County hospital.

The matter remains under investigation.
