Kitengela man arrested in connection with murder incident

Detectives in Kitengela have arrested a murder suspect in connection with a murder incident in which a man was stabbed to death at Noonkopir area in Kitengela.

In the 11 pm Thursday incident, a rider and a pillion passenger dumped an unidentified man at the Kitengela Sub-county Hospital emergency unit. It was discovered that the man was dead before they hurriedly drove off.

The victim had stab wounds in the stomach.

Confirming the incident, Kitengela DCIO Benson Mutie said preliminary investigations have established that the deceased was involved in an altercation with his murderer in a fight over a woman.

“We have one suspect in custody over the murder. The deceased was stabbed in a fight over a woman in one of the entertainment joints within the town. We are interrogating the suspect and investigating the incident to unravel the murder and ensure justice prevails,” Mutie said.

The suspect is being held at Kitengela police station.

The body was moved to the Kitengela Sub-county Hospital morgue awaiting family identification and postmortem.

The incident comes a few days after a 22-year-old woman was stabbed to death by a 25-year-old male colleague at an eatery joint.

In another incident in Kitengela, a few days later, a 24-year-old woman stabbed her two-year-old daughter to death.
