Kenya Power announces scheduled blackout for Sunday

Kenya Power has issued a notice informing Kenyans of a scheduled blackout that will affect two counties today.

In a statement shared on Saturday, the utility company said the scheduled blackout which is part of routine maintenance will affect Kajiado and Uasin Gishu counties.

In Kajiado, the blackout will affect Ngong and Kibiko areas for eight hours starting from 9 am to 5 pm.

Parts of the mentioned areas that will be affected include; Oloolaiser High School, the whole of Kibiko, Kimuka, Oloshoibor, Saikeri, Ngong Town, Ngong Hills Milimani, KenGen, Civil Aviation, Zambia, Scheme 305, Elpaso, Olepolos, Juanco, Vetfarm, Kangawa, then whole of Kerarapon, Bulbul Bondeni, Masai Road, Dedan Rhino Lekkurukki, Summer Drive, Kahara S/Centre, Muthaiga, Olkeri, Ololua SGR, [parts of Gataka, Ololua DC, Imani and adjacent customers.

In Uasin Gishu, the planned blackout will affect Kapsoya Centre from 9.30 am to 5 pm.

Parts of the centre that will be affected include Kapsoya Centre, Kapsoya Mariakani, Kapsoya Secondary School and adjacent customers.
