Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu announced on Monday, December 12, that the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination results will be released next week.
The CS, who was speaking in Nyaribari Masaba, Kisii county, noted that his ministry had taken necessary steps to ensure no cheating during this year’s national exams.
“Next week we are announcing KCPE examination results and you will not hear any cases of cheating under the leadership of Machogu. The grading of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) is progressing well and I can assure you, the results will not be riddled with any irregularities,” Machogu said.
The CS was speaking during the burial ceremony of Mama Yunuke Kebira, mother of his friend Justice Ocharo on Sunday.
Further, he assured parents and teachers that the results for some 1.23 million learners who wrote the KCPE exam will come out without any questionable issues.
“No one should peddle misinformation that in such and such place, there are problems. And there will be no problems at all. We will serve our people efficiently and effectively,” he added.
Candidates sat for the national exam between November 28, 2022, to November 30, 2022.
Form Four candidates on the other hand are sitting their KCSE which will be completed on December 23, 2022.
This year, minimal exam malpractices have been reported compared to last year’s exam.
