Kajiado man convicted of incest with daughter
A Loitokitok court has found a man guilty of incest with his 15-year-old daughter.
Freelance Mutua Munga, was convicted by Loitokitok Resident Magistrate, Samuel Ndungu, for incest with his daughter on diverse dates between November 27, 2021, and January 2, 2022, in the Isinet area in the Sub-county.
The teenager, who is a pupil at Isinet Primary School, told the court that her father had invited her to his bedroom after sending her siblings to the butchery while their mother was at work.
She added that the accused grabbed her and attempted to defile her but she managed to escape, however, he warned that he would kill her together with her mother if she exposed him.
The victim further narrated how she found herself naked after her father allegedly spiked her water on November 27, the same year.
Consequently, she reported the matter to their school principal who instructed their guidance and counselling teacher to take over the matter.
Accompanied by the victim, the teacher reported the accused who was later arrested by police at Litoktok police station.
The girl was taken to Loitoktok Sub-county Hospital where she was discovered to be pregnant.
Appearing before the court, Munga denied the allegations, claiming that he was being framed by the girl and another woman identified as Mama Nduku, after he refused to have a relationship with her.
However, the court found evidence that Gatimu, Gichuki and the girl corroborated well and hence the prosecution had proved the case beyond a reasonable doubt.
The case will be determined on December 7.
