As the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) continues with more investigations into the shocking case of a 15-year-old who murdered four family members in Kiambu county, more information has emerged on how she executed the criminal acts.
The teenager whose name has been withheld is accused of killing her two sisters, a brother and her cousin.
The quartet was aged 15 months, 5 years, 7 years and 20 months old respectively.
In her confession at the Kikuyu police station, the Form One student said she felt some power, satisfaction and excitement after committing the crimes.
It dates back to August 20 when she asked her teacher to lend her a phone to make an important call back home.
She would then call her parents to confess to killing her cousin and asked the parents to inform the deceased parents (her uncle).
The parents picked up the minor from school the following day and she further confessed to the same in the presence of her teachers.
The family then reported the matter to the police on August 26.
In her confession, she explained how the four lost their lives in her hands.
She committed her first murder on June 14, 2021, by suffocating her small brother aged 1 Year and 3 months with a pillow until he passed away.
Only three weeks later, on August 7 2021, while in their home in Gikambura, Kikuyu Kiambu county, she killed her other 5-year-old sister in a similar manner.
It would then take her barely a month before murdering her remaining sibling who was 7 and a half years on 25, September 2021, by strangling.
She says she strangled her with her bare hands for 10 minutes until she passed away. Later she poured hot water on her face.
She executed her last murder on August 16 this year after visiting her grandmother in Gathiga, Kabete when she was left to watch her 20-month-old cousin.
The minor suffocated the cousin with a pillow before dumping him in a well.
She remains in custody and is also set to undergo a psychiatric evaluation to satisfy her mental state to answer murder charges.
