The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) services will now be available at the Huduma centres across the country.
This was announced on December 1, 2022, through the government agency’s official social media pages.

This development comes as a relief to persons seeking services across the nation from the tedious process of visiting the HELB Student Service Centre Anniversary Towers in Nairobi.

Huduma centres will be operating on a shift basis from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm as directed by the Public Service, Gender and Affirmative Cabinet Secretary (CS) Aisha Jumwa in 18 centres within the next 100 days.
This is aimed at enhancing the convenience of accessing services.
“In line with this, the ministry has commenced extending working hrs on a shift basis for the Huduma Contact Centre from 7 am to 9 pm,” Jumwa said.
Jumwa who was speaking on October 31 at the GPO Huduma Centre also announced that the government will add 100 huduma centres across the country to bring services closer to citizens. This will be an addition to the 52 huduma centres across 47 counties.
“We will launch the model sub-county Huduma Centre in partnership with the National Government Constituency Development fund in preparation to set up Huduma centres across various sub-counties,” the CS added.
Further, Jumwa announced that the government had set plans to launch a training program on Huduma Kenya standards and Customer service excellence to enhance better customer experiences.
