A family in Embu County is in agony after their father went missing two weeks ago.

Stanley Njiru Kabaci, a retired chief inspector of police is said to have gone missing on September 2, 2022, and is yet to return home.

His wife Sarah Wangui Njiru says that she last saw her husband at a site where they are constructing a house together with workers>

On the said day, her husband left the site and headed to a shop they operate.

“Moments after constructors me that there was a septic tank leaking, I informed my husband. He told me he was leaving me with the workers to head to the shop before proceeding to Embu town to fetch raw materials required by carpenters,” she stated.

Wangui added that she sent one of her daughters to the shop to collect some beans for supper at 12 pm but found the shop locked.

Seeing that the shop was locked, they thought Kabaci had decided to go to Embu town first before heading to the shop.

Wangui then sent the daughter again to the shop at 3 pm but still found the shop locked.

This prompted her to head to the shop to see what had transpired since it was unusual for her husband to take long to return home whenever he goes out.

When she realised her husband had not yet return, Wangui reached out to her husband’s close friends to inquire on his whereabouts.

Everyone, including Kamaci’s bodaboda rider had not seen him around that day.

Later in the evening, one of Kamaci’s grandson told Wangui that he saw his grandfather board a matatu as he was coming home from school.

“We have stayed together for 35 years and he is very cool person who knows how to relate with people, whoever knows where he is please inform us,”Wangui said.

She noted that as a family, they have checked for their kin in hospitals across Embu and Kirinyaga to no avail.

“All is not well in the family, don’t know where we can find our father,”his son Steven Njiru added.

They have appealed to members of public to help find their father. The family can be reached through 0726969941 or 0718029912
