Brenda Jons explains social media hiatus
Kenyan content creator Brenda Jons has made a comeback citing spiritual renewal as the reason why she took a social media detox.
In a recent post on social media, the born-again content creator revealed that she had taken a three-month hiatus to focus on deepening her connection with her faith.
“Fasting social media, I took 3 months away to just soak and hear God more clearly. It’s been the best vacation ever!!!!” Brenda Jons said.
Jons confessed that for a significant period, she had allowed social media to define her identity, but felt it was time to rediscover herself through the lens of her faith quoting a verse from the book of Jeremiah.
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I sanctified you; and I ordained you a prophet to the nations,” she said.
“I needed to know who that person is. How does He define me and what a faithful God.”
During her hiatus, Brenda Jons shared that she dedicated herself to reading the Bible more fervently, allowing its teachings to guide her.
She highlighted the importance of meditation and cited the verse from the Gospel according to John; “The sheep recognize the voice of the shepherd, the one who feeds them, guides them, and protects them.”
“Now I can hear Him more. How beautiful,” she expressed.
“I missed you friends, catch me up, what has the Lord been teaching you?” she asked.
Brenda Jons not gay anymore
In September 2022, the comedian revealed that she had ditched the rainbow community and given her life to Christ.
“As humans we grow every day, things change every day, we develop every day and discover ourselves every day. And with time, I am realizing that wasn’t my identity. It wasn’t who I am but more of a phase,” she stated.
The 25-year-old content creator explained that her previous lifestyle was a phase she needed to experience. She has since moved past it and is now focusing on a fulfilling relationship with God.
“I accept change, I accept when my life is taking a different turn and I am never scared to start from scratch. I let life flow and I think at this point I am letting God take control of my life,” she stated.
“I know people will point fingers saying that I had initially said am gay but I have seen the value of a man in a woman’s life and am telling you a different story and those that will find me to be confused good for you.”
