Three Nandi secondary school teachers have been interdicted by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) for allegedly eating all bananas and drinking milk in the Principal’s office.

The Lelmokwo Secondary School teachers allegedly stormed the principal’s office, ate the bananas and took all the milk.

It is also alleged the teachers stormed the kitchen and forced the cooks to serve them chicken meant for the school’s visitors.

The teachers were accused of breaking the rules in a letter addressed to them by Nandi County TSC deputy director W.O Mosigisi.

“I am directed by TSC to tell you that you have breached Clause C (iii) and (iv) of the Third Schedule of the Act,” the letter seen by K24 Digital reads in part.

“You stormed the principal’s office on March 15 around 1.30 pm without permission and ate all the bananas and milk in the fridge. You stormed the school kitchen on March 16 and forced the school workers to serve you chicken which was meant for visitors,” the letter added.

The TSC deputy director, consequently, interdicted the teachers with effect from May 22.

“Before the commission proceeds to consider and determine your case, you are invited to make a defence statement to the commission in writing within 21 days,” the deputy county boss said.

The teachers were also assured that they will be allowed to be heard by the commission.
