COVID-19: Record 960 virus cases reported

Kenya’s total coronavirus cases rise to 17,603 after a record 960 people tested positive for the virus on Sunday.

This comes a week after thousands of mourners defied COVID-19 safety regulations to bury Ohangla musician Lady Maureen.

The country is recognised by the African Union as its 55th member state, although Morocco claims it is part of its territory.

In Nairobi, Kibra produced 64 cases, Dagoretti North (55) and Embakasi East registered 40 infections.
