Top and bottom place battles as FKF Premier League action continues

The Football Kenya Federation Premier League returns this weekend with an action-packed Round 19 slate as the 2025/26 league season continues to gather momentum across the country.

Saturday action

The round gets underway on Saturday, January 31, 2026, with four matches lined up at different venues. At the Kasarani Annex, 12th-placed Mathare United will be hoping to steady their campaign when they take on 7th-placed KCB FC in a 2:00 pm kickoff.

Elsewhere in Western Kenya, KaKamega Homeboyz welcome Mara Sugar to Bukhungu Stadium at the same time in what promises to be a tightly contested encounter. Homeboyz are placed fifth on the log while Mara occupy position eight in the league standings.

Former champions Tusker FC will be in action at the SportPesa Arena from 3:00 pm as they face a resilient Posta Rangers side, while record champions and league leaders Gor Mahia lock horns with relegation-threatened Sofapaka FC at the Kasarani Stadium in the late kickoff scheduled for 4:00 pm, a fixture expected to draw huge attention from fans.

Sunday and Monday fixtures

The league action continues on Sunday, February 1, 2026, with three matches on the card. At the Kasarani Stadium, bottom side Kariobangi Sharks face Ulinzi Stars from 2:00 pm in a clash that could have a significant impact on the relegation battle. In Kisii, passionate home supporters are expected to fill Gusii Stadium as Shabana FC host coastal outfit Bandari FC, also kicking off at 2:00 pm. Later in the day, Murang’a Seal entertain APS Bomet at the SportPesa Arena, with kickoff set for 3:00 pm.

Round 19 will wrap up on Monday, February 2, 2026, when defending champions Kenya Police FC take on Bidco United at the Police Sacco Stadium. The match, scheduled for 4:00 pm, will be the only fixture on Monday and is expected to be crucial for both sides as the second half of the season takes shape.
