FKF Premier League side Shabana FC has issued an update to its supporters, confirming that the club’s long-awaited team bus, donated by President William Ruto, is nearing completion.

In an official club statement on Sunday, March 29, 2026, the club revealed that the bus is currently in its final stages, undergoing rigorous road testing, inspection, and finishing touches.

The development marks a significant milestone for the Kisii-based club, signalling renewed ambition and improved logistics as the team continues to rebuild its stature in Kenyan football.

”This is to confirm that the Shabana FC bus is almost ready and is currently undergoing road testing, inspection, and final refinements at Masters Fabricators. We will keep you posted on the progress,” the statement read in part.

The acquisition of a modern team bus is expected to significantly enhance the club’s operations, particularly in facilitating easier travel arrangements for players and technical staff during away league fixtures.

Reliable transport has long been a key factor in ensuring team efficiency and comfort for all FKF Premier League and National Super League clubs in a demanding and costly domestic schedule.

Shabana also took the opportunity to express gratitude to President Ruto for his support toward the project. ”Asante sana, Rais wetu, His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto, for your support. The real Mnyama is coming home soon.” The statement added.

Meanwhile, the Glamour Boys will be targeting maximum points against the visiting Murang’a SEAL in a highly anticipated league clash on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Gusii Stadium.

The home side will be aiming to bounce back to their good form against the unpredictable SEAL at their Gusii fortress, a home that has proved difficult for Shabana to collect maximum points this season.

Heading into the Sunday fixture, Shabana have lost their last two league fixtures against Kariobangi Sharks and Gor Mahia respectively. However, based on the message from their camp, the side is focused and eager to edge the visitors.

“Sunday, we’re going to put on a great performance against Murang’a Seal FC to try to win the game. Losing is always an opportunity to bounce back and show how much we want to win our games, and that is what we are fighting for.” The club said in a Facebook post on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

The round will wrap up with an eagerly anticipated fixture as AFC Leopards face Kariobangi Sharks at Nyayo Stadium, with kickoff slated for 4:15 pm.
