The curtain has closed on the 2025/26 Premier League season, with Arsenal crowned the champions of England after a 22-year wait. The Gunners were officially handed the trophy in a colourful presentation at Selhurst Park.

Mikel Arteta’s side edged out Manchester City to come out on top of a nail-biting title race.

The battle concluded with a game to spare after City were held by AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. The Gunners secured their 14th top-flight title in historic style, finishing the gruelling campaign without conceding a single penalty or receiving a red card.

In the individual awards category, Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya and top scorer Erling Haaland were feted for outstanding campaigns in the season:

  • The Golden Boot: Erling Haaland finished as the league’s top scorer with 27 goals. The Manchester City marksman earned his third Golden Boot in four seasons, once again showcasing his elite scoring acumen.

  • The Golden Glove: Arsenal’s David Raya bagged the Golden Glove award after keeping the most clean sheets (19) across the 38-match league campaign.
  • The Playmaker Record: Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes secured his place in the history books by breaking Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry’s shared record for the most assists in a single Premier League season. The Portuguese playmaker registered his 21st assist during a final-day win over Brighton to become the outright record holder.
