KVF reschedules final league matches to June
By Joel Masibo, May 14, 2026The Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) has announced changes to the National Men’s and Women’s League fixtures, pushing the matches that had initially been scheduled for May 14-17, 2026, to a later date in June.
According to the federation, the fixtures will now be played from June 11 to June 14, 2026, at the Nyayo Basketball Court in Nairobi. The matches are expected to mark the final leg of the regular league season before teams head to Mombasa for the quarter-final phase.
The rescheduled matches are set to play a major role in determining the final standings in both the men’s and women’s categories as clubs continue battling for qualification spots into the knockout rounds.
New directives
KVF also issued a directive requiring every participating team to travel with a non-playing referee who possesses at least a National Level One Certificate and is recognised as an active, practising referee.
Before the final league leg begins, volleyball fans will also witness a special women’s fixture on Saturday, May 23, 2026, where A-Plus Volleyball Club will face Kenya Army at the Kasarani Annex from 11:00 am.

The final league leg will officially kick off on Wednesday, June 10, with a men’s clash between Kenya Ports Authority and AP Kenya.
Final leg fixtures
Action will intensify on Thursday, June 11, 2026, with several high-profile encounters lined up. In the women’s category, Prisons Nairobi will take on Kenya Pipeline before Kenya Army face Kenyatta University. In the men’s division, AP Kenya will play Prisons Rift Valley, National Youth Service will battle Equity, while General Service Unit will meet Prisons Western. Trailblazers Team are also scheduled to face Kenya Army later in the day.
On Friday, June 12,2026, women’s champions Kenya Pipeline will continue their campaign against Young Spykers before KDF face Prisons Nairobi. The Kenya Cup fixture between Bunge and Kenya Ports Authority is also expected to attract attention. Other men’s matches on the day will see Prisons Western play Prisons Rift Valley, Kenya Army face General Service Unit, and AP Kenya take on Equity.
Saturday’s fixtures on June 13, 2026 are expected to produce intense competition as AP Kenya play Prisons Western while Kenya Army face Prisons Rift Valley. Equity Bank will also clash with Prisons Nairobi in the men’s division. In the women’s category, Kenya Pipeline will square it out with KCB, while Kenya Defence Forces will battle Kenya Ports Authority in another key men’s encounter. General Service Unit will then face Chema Volleyball in the final match of the day.

The final day of the league leg on Sunday, June 14, 2026, will feature Prisons Western against National Youth Service before GSU play AP Kenya. KDF will tackle KCB in the women’s division, while Kenya Pipeline face DCI. Kenya Defence Forces will also play Equity Bank before Kenya Ports Authority wrap up the weekend with a clash against Prisons Kenya.
Meanwhile, with quarterfinal qualification spots at stake, teams will be under pressure to deliver strong performances during the decisive Nyayo Basketball Court showdown.
