Gor Mahia dismisses transfer speculation, urges fans to await official communication
By Joel Masibo, June 24, 2026Reigning Football Kenya Federation Premier League champions, Gor Mahia have moved to calm growing speculation surrounding their squad ahead of the new season, issuing a statement to clarify reports circulating on social media regarding potential player departures and transfer targets.
In a communication dated Wednesday, June 24, 2026, the club acknowledged the increasing number of online reports linking several players with exits from the club while also naming others as possible incoming signings. However, Gor Mahia stressed that much of the information being shared remains unconfirmed.
“The club wishes to address the numerous reports and lists currently circulating on social media regarding players allegedly set to leave the team and those purportedly being targeted for signing,” the statement read.

Gor Mahia further reiterated their commitment to handling squad matters professionally and in a manner that serves the club’s long-term interests. According to the club, any confirmed developments involving player arrivals, exits or contract matters will be announced through official channels.
