KPL title race intensifies as Leopards entertain Police, Gor welcome Bandari
By Joel Masibo, April 18, 2026The Football Kenya Federation Premier League Round 28 fixtures for the 2025/26 season will go down this weekend across different venues nationwide, as the campaign enters a decisive phase, with title contenders AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia all in action searching for crucial points.
With a packed schedule lined up across Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 2026, teams will be battling for crucial points at both ends of the table.
Saturday fixtures
The action kicks off at Kasarani Stadium where Kariobangi Sharks will face Mara Sugar at 1:00 pm. Sharks will be out seeking maximum points that will drag them further out of the relegation zone.
At Gusii Stadium, Shabana FC take on Kakamega Homeboyz in a 2:00 pm clash. The Glamour Boys, who recently unveiled former Murang’a SEAL head coach, Osborne Monday, will be looking to turn a new page after registering a series of mixed results in the league lately.

Elsewhere, the 2008 champions, Mathare United will host Bidco United at Kasarani Annex starting at 2:00 pm, while Tusker FC go up against Sofapaka FC at Wang’uru Stadium at 3:00 pm. Both Bidco and Sofapaka are risking relegation, placed at the foot of the league standings.
Later, KCB FC will meet Ulinzi Stars at Kasarani Stadium starting 4:00 pm in another tricky fixture for the soldiers, who are trying to evade relegation.
At Nyayo Stadium, in-form AFC Leopards are set to battle defending champions, Kenya Police FC in another 3:00 pm encounter. A win for Ingwe will see them top the league with 58 points, leapfrogging bitter rivals Gor Mahia by one point.
Sunday fixtures
Round 28 continues on Sunday with three matches on the card. Posta Rangers will face APS Bomet at Kasarani Annex from 2:00 pm.
At SportPesa Arena, Murang’a Seal take on Nairobi United at 3:00 pm.

The highlight fixture of the weekend will see Gor Mahia host Bandari FC at Kasarani Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 4:15 pm. K’Ogalo will be aiming to bounce back and maintain their top position after suffering a shocking 1-0 defeat to Tusker FC in their previous league outing on Tuesday, April 14, 2026,at Wang;uru Stadium in Kirinyaga.
