Inside Manchester United’s training camp in Dublin ahead of Premier League resumption
By Joel Masibo, April 2, 2026Manchester United are set to head to the Republic of Ireland on Monday, April 6, 2026, for a focused training retreat in Dublin after the international break.
The squad will spend four days in camp, from Monday, April 6, through Thursday, April 9, 2026, using the period to regroup and sharpen their form ahead of the final stretch of the Premier League season.
Under the guidance of Michael Carrick, the team currently sits third in the standings and is pushing to secure a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

”We can confirm United will travel to Dublin on Monday, 6 April to step up preparations for our return to action, which comes against historic rivals Leeds United at Old Trafford a week later.” The club said in a statement on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
This camp comes during a 24-day pause in domestic action, brought about by the international break and the upcoming FA Cup quarter-finals.
The trip to Dublin is aimed at intensifying preparations before competitive matches resume, with a highly anticipated clash against Leeds United scheduled at Old Trafford the following week.
The players remain focused on ending the campaign on a high note and rewarding their supporters with strong performances as the season draws to a close.

International duties
Leading the team was Portugal captain Bruno Fernandes, who continued his impressive creative form on international duty, playing a key role in his side’s 2-0 victory over the United States during ongoing World Cup preparatory matches on Wednesday morning, April 1, 2026.

With Cristiano Ronaldo unavailable, the Manchester United midfielder once again led his country and delivered a standout display in Atlanta. Midway through the first half, he latched onto a pass from Vitinha and produced a clever backheel that set up Francisco Trincão, who calmly slotted home the opener.
Later in the game, Fernandes turned provider again, assisting João Félix for Portugal’s second goal with a well-timed pass that allowed the forward to strike from distance and seal the win. Fernandes, who is also chasing an assist record in the league this season, was substituted late on after another influential outing. In the same match, Diogo Dalot featured in defence during the first half.
