FKF Cup: Shabana targets Muhoroni Youth’s scalp after nightmare loss to AFC Leopards

Football Kenya Federation Premier League side Shabana FC will be aiming to bounce back to their winning ways when they host Muhoroni Youth FC for an FKF Cup Round of 32 tie at the Gusii Stadium on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

The 2:00 pm kickoff will grant the Glamour Boys a chance to redeem themselves after enduring a 5-1 league trashing at the hands of ruthless AFC Leopards at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Ahead of the Muhoroni test, Shabana FC vowed to bounce back strong, aiming to storm the FKF Cup Round of 16 at the expense of the NSL side.

“So sorry to our fans, we know what you are going through and we take responsibility. There are still a lot of games to play. We know our strengths and we will bounce back. We are going to fight until the end,” the club said immediately after the AFC Leopards’ beating.

The atmosphere at Gusii Stadium is expected to be electric as the home fans will be out to push their team in search of an important win that will further propel the team in local competitions after posting decent outcomes in the league assignments.

Saturday fixtures

Action kick offed on Friday, March 6, 2026, when Tusker FC beat Bidco United 2-0 at the Police Sacco Grounds. The matches will intensify on Saturday, March 7, 2026, with a packed schedule across several venues. Zetech University FC will face KCB FC at Moi Stadium at 1:00 pm. At the same time in Eldoret, Mfalme FC will battle Wisdom Soccer at the Radar Grounds.

In Kisii, fans will witness Shabana FC host Muhoroni Youth FC at the Gusii Stadium from 2:00 pm. At the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium, TBM Health FC will lock horns with Kenya Police FC at the same time.

Later in the afternoon, Ulinzi Stars will play Zoo FC at the Ulinzi Sports Complex at 3:00 pm. Coastal side Bandari FC will also be in action against Bumbani Stars at Kwale Stadium from 3:00 pm. Meanwhile, 3K FC will meet Denmak FC at Moi Stadium starting at 3:30 pm.
