President William Ruto has rallied behind Migori County leaders in reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of Kenyans through practical reforms and unity-building efforts across the country.

The Head of State made his remarks in Migori County at the Sony Sugar Green Stadium on Thursday, August 14, 2025, where he met with leaders from Migori County led by Migori County Governor Ochillo Ayacko.

Ruto also noted that Kenyans deserve a practical solution to the challenges facing the country while revealing that together with the leaders in his administration, he has constantly sought an improvement of the livelihoods of the people of Kenya.

“Kenyans are demanding practical solutions to the challenges in our country and seeking an improvement in their lives. And that is what we have endeavoured to do in the past three years,” Ruto said.

Likewise, Ruto highlighted the achievements of his government over the past three years. While also noting that despite economic hardships, the country has witnessed stabilisation of the economy, restructuring of the agricultural value chain, the rollout of the Social Health Authority (SHA) for universal healthcare, and the creation of youth employment initiatives.

“We have stabilised the economy, reformed the agricultural value chain, implemented universal healthcare under the Social Health Authority and pursued deliberate policies to create jobs for our youth,” Ruto stated.

He emphasised that to build on these gains, his administration is engaging progressive leaders across the political divide, aiming to foster national unity and togetherness for a more prosperous Kenya.

On the other hand, the Head of State, who was accompanied by Governor Ochillo Ayacko, several Members of Parliament, and Members of the County Assembly, noted that the visit signals a broader move to consolidate support and ensure the national development agenda reaches all corners of the country.

“To build on these gains, we are working with progressive leaders across the political divide to strengthen national unity and togetherness. Met grassroots leaders from Migori County at Sony Sugar Green Stadium in Awendo. Joined by Governor Ochillo Ayacko, MPs and MCAs,” he added.
