Rapudo dismisses breakup with Amber Ray rumours
By Nancy Marende, August 17, 2025Businessman Kennedy Rapudo has dismissed swirling online rumours suggesting trouble in his relationship with socialite Faith Makau, famously known as Amber Ray.
In a statement on Saturday, August 17, 2025, Rapudo termed them as baseless gossip fuelled by idle minds.
“I have been getting calls and messages from friends worried about the gossip online. But let me say there’s nothing to worry about,” he stated.
He blasted the speculation as the work of “empty debes shouting nonsense for attention”, adding that he and Amber had deliberately chosen to keep their private lives out of the spotlight.
“The internet has always been a playground for empty debes shouting nonsense for attention. We chose to keep our lives private for a reason, and that silence clearly disturbs the broke and bitter,” he said.
“They create lies hoping for clickbait, but all they do is choke on their stupidity. None of it is true, none of it matters, and I won’t even break a sweat addressing it. Idlers will stay idlers. Kesho (Sunday) tukutane Old Trafford,” he added.
Range Rover gift
This comes a few days after Amber Ray proved she is committed to living life on her terms, after revealing she has bought herself a luxurious Range Rover.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, August 14, 2025, Amber shared the moment with her fans, saying the gift was a personal treat and a reminder to celebrate herself.
Amber explained that she had woken up feeling a little down but decided to change her mood wonderfully.
“Yesterday I woke up a little moody… Maybe all I needed was a hug. Normally, I’d brighten my day with flowers, but this time I chose to gift myself a new toy instead,” she wrote.
The “toy” turned out to be a sleek Range Rover, a purchase that left even her regular flower supplier surprised when she requested they “wrap the Range instead” of preparing her usual bouquet.
In her post, Amber reflected on the importance of appreciating oneself and marking personal achievements, no matter how big or small.
“Life has taught me that it’s okay to show up for yourself, to love yourself loudly, and to celebrate even the little victories,” she told her followers.
The Range Rover, she said, was a present from herself to herself, simply “because I deserve it.”
