Reuben Kigame urges Kenyans to kick out Ruto & complete job started by Gen Zs

By , March 2, 2026

Presidential aspirant in the 2022 elections Reuben Kigame has urged Kenyans to make their say known at the ballot by voting to kick out President William Ruto.

According to the gospel singer-turned politician, Kenya’s Gen Zs laid the foundation for far-reaching political transformation in 2024.

What remains now is for voters to vote against Ruto, finishing the job that saw Kenyans take to the streets in their thousands to push back against a government that many opined no longer served them.

In a statement on his X account on Monday, March 2, 2026, Kigame noted that the changes in 2027 should usher in a new political order and a government that will address the priorities of the citizenry.

Kigame outlined the priorities, noting that lowering taxes, ending arbitrary killings/abductions that have been a concern under the Ruto regime, would be addressed if voters make good choices at the ballot.

Finishing what Gen Z started

He also stated that replacing the current crop of leaders with people of integrity will see corruption dismantled, with the provision of free education, security, and affordable healthcare becoming a reality.

“Kenya‘s Gen Z began a job in 2024. We must finish that job by ensuring that the next election delivers a government that lowers taxes, ends abductions and killing of citizens, provides free education, security, affordable healthcare, dismantles corruption, implements the constitution and ensures jobs for our young people,” he stated.

Kigame added that to make his beautiful dream a reality, Kenyans must choose leaders of good character and fill the parliament with men and women of integrity.

“This can only happen if we prioritise leaders of character and a parliament that delivers people-centred legislation,” he said.

Kigame, who is preparing to take a stab at the highest seat in the land, has been calling for a paradigm shift in Kenya’s political landscape.

Most recently, he called for an end to political alliances based on ethnicity, noting that the political elite are already scheming on how to share power.

We need to take a closer look at what brings political players together. Most coalitions being formed are about two or three tribes sharing government appointments and resources. The negotiations are already on,” Kigame said.

“Vote for such coalitions at your own risk. They will loot the country and oppress you like all previous governments. Open your eyes and your mind and use character to get your next government,” he warned.
