According to NPS, officers raided a residential house where they recovered more than one ton of suspected zebra meat.
The meat included a skinned carcass and several processed products stored at the premises. Authorities also recovered tools and equipment believed to have been used in the illegal trade.
A motor vehicle suspected of having been used to transport the meat was also impounded during the operation.
Three people were arrested in connection with the incident, and all the recovered items were secured as exhibits.
Public urged to report illegal trade

The National Police Service said it remains committed to fighting wildlife crimes and the illegal bushmeat trade.
“The National Police Service reiterates its commitment to combating wildlife crimes and the illegal bushmeat trade. Members of the public are urged to report such activities to the nearest police station or through the toll-free numbers,” the NPS statement reads.
The incident has sparked concern among residents, with authorities warning that illegal bushmeat not only threatens wildlife but may also pose health risks to unsuspecting consumers.
