Outspoken Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi is a happy man after securing a third term in office in Tuesday’s polls.

Sudi, who vied for the seat on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, trounced his competitor to emerge victorious with 31, 534 votes.

The politician’s closest challenger Frank Murgor came a distant second with 11,092 votes, followed by Pauline Tuwei who got 6,504 votes.

Sudi was, however, conspicuously missing at the Kapseret constituency tallying centre where the results were announced on Thursday afternoon.

The legislator left tongues wagging after it emerged that he had sent his two wives to collect his election certificate.

Lilian and Anne Sudi walked majestically to the podium after the constituency’s returning officer Mildred Wachie declared Sudi the winner of the MP contest.

The official noted that they had received written communication from the MP-elect to allow the women to collect the certificate on his behalf.

“The law is clear that where the winner is not around, his spouse should receive it on their behalf. We have a letter in our possession from Sudi,” the official said.

K24 Digital understands that the family man is in Nairobi, being one of the agents of Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate William Ruto stationed at Bomas of Kenya.

“Earlier today I sent my lovely wives Lilian and Anne to pick up the election certificate on my behalf. I wish to thank great people of Kapseret Constituency for giving me a chance to serve them in the National Assembly for the third time,” Sudi said in a Facebook post.

“I commit to serving my people with diligence, determination and hard work. May God bless you all.”
