Kenya Power lists areas to experience blackout on Wednesday, February 11
By Paulette Mboga, February 10, 2026Kenya Power has announced planned power maintenance that will cause blackouts in several regions on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
The company on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, said the outages are necessary to carry out essential maintenance and upgrades to the electricity network. All the affected areas are expected to experience power interruptions from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
“Good evening, please find below the areas scheduled for maintenance tomorrow, 11th February 2026,” the statement reads.
Nairobi Region
In Nairobi, several areas will experience power cuts, including parts of Waiyaki Way such as ABC Place, Total Energies Waiyaki Way, White House, Manyani East and Manyani West, Deloitte, Safaricom House, ABSA Bank, Aga Khan Primary School, Total Petrol Station, Kabete Barracks, KALRO Institute, Delta, and adjacent customers.

Dandora Phase 1 and nearby areas will also be affected. Parts of Parklands, including 4th Parklands, parts of 5th Parklands, Kusi Lane, parts of Masari Road, Presidential Escort Estate, Ismailla Flats, Diamond Plaza 1 and 2, Sky Mall Flat, Highridge Kenya Power Staff Quarters, and surrounding customers, will also experience outages. Residents and businesses are advised to plan for the temporary interruption.
South Nyanza Region
In South Nyanza, affected areas include Ikerege Market, Getonganya, Kiamokebe, parts of Isibania, Gwigonge, and nearby customers. Residents are urged to make preparations for the blackout.
Mt. Kenya region
In the Mt. Kenya region, power will be out in Kagumo High School, Kirichu Market, Ndurutu, Kiganjo Estate, Kiganjo Sewage, Gachika High School, Kang’ong’a, Ndathi-Ini, Wangi Water, Rosa, Sagana State Lodge, Iruri Market, Kiganjo Fisheries, Karandi Market, Mutaga Market, Sagana Village, Iganjo Village, Lela Academy, Kiaihuru, Ndundu-Ini Primary School, Kagaati, Chieni, Mikundi, Safaricom Boosters, and Airtel Boosters.
Coast Region
In the Coast region, power cuts will affect Samburu Town, Kinagoni, Vigurungani, Silaloni, Ganda Market, Sunpark Malindi, Mangani, Doshi, Kakuyuni Market, and adjacent customers.

The notice is to help all residents and businesses in the affected regions to prepare and take necessary measures to cope with the outages.
