Kenya Power lists areas to experience blackout on Thursday, February 12
By Paulette Mboga, February 11, 2026Kenya Power has announced planned power outages across the country on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
The blackouts are part of scheduled maintenance and will affect several counties. Residents and businesses are advised to plan.
Nairobi County
In Nairobi, power will be interrupted in Huruma, parts of Juja Road, 1st Avenue, Mlango Kubwa, Moi Air Base, AMREF Hospital, Mission of Hope School, Malewa Road, St. Teresa Girls, Mathare No.10, and adjacent customers. Saika, Mwengenye, Kayole Junction, Njiru Slaughterhouse, Obama, and the surrounding areas will also be affected.
Parts of Karen, including St. Christopher’s School, Miotoni West, Jamii Telkom, African Wildlife Foundation, Montessori School Centre, World Vision, Karen Lane, Nandi Road, Karen Police, Westwood Park, Ngong Daily, Shell and Total petrol stations, and nearby residents will experience outages from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Kajiado County
Power will also be off in parts of Kajiado, including Namanga, Bissil, Kumpa, Dubai, Orkungo, Ngatataek, Maili Tisa, Meto, Maparasaha, Kureket, Emotoroki, Lorgusua, Olgulului, Imarba, and Partimaro, along with adjacent customers.
Outages are scheduled from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Machakos County
In Machakos, Mlolongo and surrounding areas, including Quickmart Mlolongo, Mlolongo Jangwani, and Golden Eagles, will experience blackouts from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Nakuru County
Parts of Nakuru, including Milimani, Forest Road, Kirima Market, Safaricom Booster, Menengai Boosters, Alps Hotel, Maragoli Road, Graceland Hotels, Apex Hotel, Seven Heights, Merati Heights, Nakuru High School, Naivas Supermarket, Sarova Woodlands, and adjacent customers, will have power off from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Parts of Kapsuser, including Cheseng’en, Kipsigis Girls, Kapkonyinyis, Chepkutung, Kapsuser Market, Chebown Market, Cheromit Centre, Seretut Centre, Changoi Road, Kaptebeswet, Tegat Market, and Kipsolu will be affected from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Homabay County
In Homabay, areas including Agolomuok, Seka, Otati, God Oloo, and surrounding customers will experience blackouts from 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Nyeri County
Parts of Nyeri, including Ark Lodge, Bondeni, Kiguru Primary, Amboni, Amboni Secondary, Ruiru, Murungaru Residence, Game Rock, Mt. Kenya Senior and Junior Academy, Elmark Estate, Juja Main Stage, Green Field Estate, Juja South, Kanini Farm Estate, Kenyatta Road, Turraco Village, Superhighway Estate, and adjacent customers will have outages from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Kilifi County
In Kilifi, affected areas include Ganda Market, Kakuyuni Market, Roofing Kenya, Tarmal Wire Kokotoni, PN Mashru, Transeast, Danka Ltd, Kasemeni Centre, Shreeji, Uwanja wa Ndege, and surrounding customers from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Mombasa County
Power will also be off in Nyali, including Kwa Akasha, Orliender Road, Moyne Drive, Coral Drive, Nyali Barracks, Nyali Holiday Inn, Makwetu, Jumeira, Chiromo, Voyager Hotel, Mombasa Beach Hotel, Bahali Beach Hotel, Nyali Reef, and Mt. Kenya Road, along with adjacent customers, from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
