Kenya Power lists areas to experience blackout on Monday, February 23

The company, in a statement on Sunday, February 22, 2026, said, “Good evening. The listed areas will be affected by planned power interruptions tomorrow (23rd February 2026).” It added that people can check the latest schedule under the most recent date.
Nairobi County
Parts of Nairobi North in Runda will be affected on Monday, February 23, from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. The areas listed are part of Northern Bypass, Eliud Mathu, Mae Ridge, Runda Mumwe, Eagles Park, Runda Riviera, Glee Hotel, Fiesta, Mimosa Ridge, Annexe, Runda Kigwaru, Pan African Insurance, Havana and adjacent customers.
Makueni County
Parts of Emali will experience the blackout from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. The affected places include parts of Emali Town, Kindu Mall, KCB Emali, Shell and RUBIS petrol stations, Kilome Maternity, Nursing Home, Best Care Hospital, Emali Model Hospital, Lukenya College and adjacent customers.
Kiambu County
Parts of Kiambu County in Wanugu Market and Gitwe will be affected from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. The areas listed are Karatu Market, Mururia High School, Mutunguru High School, Wanugu Market, Ndarugu Tea Factory, Kirangi Market, Karinga High, Ituramiro Market, Gitwe Market, Kamutua High, Gaitete Market, Cununuki, Gacharage Market, Kibiru High, Roi Market, Kagunyi Market and adjacent customers.
Nyeri County
Parts of Nyeri County will be affected from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. The listed areas are Almasi, King’ong’o Prison, Nyeri Prison, Autospin Garage, King’ong’o Shopping Centre, Garden Estate, Good Shepherd Academy, Siel Supermarket, Road Map Supermarket and adjacent customers.
Migori County
Parts of Migori County will experience the blackout from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. The areas listed are Sare SDA, Bonde School, Otithi School, Siany Primary, Rinya Market and adjacent customers.
