Be my Valentine! Mosiria meets man who crushed on him
By David Nthua, February 11, 2026Geoffrey Mosiria has promised to change the life of a man who openly expressed a crush on him.
Carrying a placard in Nairobi CBD, the man wrote that he had a huge crush on the Head of Customer Care and Citizens Engagement and asked whether Mosiria would agree to be his Valentine.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, Mosiria shared the encounter and the remarkable story behind it.
“So many people tagged me yesterday about this young man who had made a placard with my name at the Archives. Today, while I was in the CBD on official duty, I found him still standing at the same spot with the same placard and took time to engage him in a conversation,” Mosiria said.

He asked the young man why he chose such a public approach, aware that some people might misunderstand his intentions or view it negatively.
The man explained that he understood how quickly controversy spreads in Kenya and believed this was the fastest way to get his message to Mosiria.
The young man clarified that he is straight, has a girlfriend, and simply wanted an opportunity to speak with Mosiria and seek guidance on improving his life.
When Mosiria asked how he could help, the man humbly requested only two things: to take him and his girlfriend out for a Valentine’s dinner, and more importantly, to enrol in college to pursue an ICT course and build his future.
Turning dreams into reality

Mosiria said the man’s honesty and determination were touching.
“Sometimes all someone needs is not money, not fame, just an opportunity and someone who believes in them,” he wrote.
True to his word, Mosiria promised to support the young man’s education.
He personally took him to ICS College for sponsorship, and the young man will now be enrolled and given a chance to pursue his dream in ICT.
The encounter has since inspired many on social media, with Mosiria’s act highlighting the power of mentorship, opportunity, and belief in young people’s potential.
