Mosiria explains why men should introduce mpango wa kando to their wives

Nairobi County’s Chief Officer for Customer Engagement and Citizen Service Geoffrey Mosiria has shared his views on relationships, marriage, polygamy and infidelity.

Speaking during a candid interview with media personality Miss Kithinji, Mosiria urged men who have extramarital affairs to introduce their other partners to their wives, arguing that doing so would promote openness and help protect families from health risks.

“To all men, if you have a mpango wa kando, bring her home, introduce her to the wife, and let them be accepted,” Mosiria said.

He also warned men against having secret relationships, arguing that engaging in multiple relationships outside marriage could expose their spouses to sexually transmitted infections.

“Usiende kuleta Ukimwi kutoka nje hii kutanga tanga utaua yule mwenye ako kwa nyumba. I am advising you.”

Mosiria on polygamy

The Nairobi County officer also spoke about polygamy, adding that his views were shaped by his upbringing.

“I am a product of polygamy,” he said.

He argued that men who have the financial capacity should consider having more than one wife, saying each partner could play a different role in the family.

“A man should have at least 2, 3, or 4 wives. One for taking care of children at home, the second one for meetings and conferences, the third one for outings and entertainment, and he should be able to take care of them,” Mosiria stated.

He further urged financially capable men to practise polygamy, saying there are many women who could benefit from being supported rather than being left to struggle.

“I want to tell men, if you have money, we have many women out there; let them not suffer,” he added.

Message to his wife

Despite advocating for polygamy, Mosiria said he currently has only one wife.

He explained that his decision to remain with one wife was influenced by his financial capacity.

“My wife, I love you so much. I only have you; I have not added anyone else. I decided to have you and you alone because my capacity and the money I have are only enough for you,” Mosiria said.
