You are not alone! Mosiria’s message to Kenyans facing tough times

By , February 24, 2026

Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, has shared a heartfelt message to Kenyans going through difficult moments in their lives.

In a statement shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, Mosiria spoke directly to people battling silent struggles, saying many are carrying heavy burdens behind closed doors.

“Good morning. I know someone, somewhere, is unable to sleep, not because they want to be awake, but because life feels too heavy,” Mosiria wrote.

He pointed out that many people are overwhelmed by financial problems, including mounting debts, job losses and collapsed businesses. Others, he said, are struggling to pay school fees or dealing with broken marriages, painful separations and the pressures of single parenting.

Mosiria also acknowledged those facing emotional and mental health challenges.

“Some are going through broken marriages, painful separations, single-parenting struggles, or silent domestic battles. Others are grieving loved ones, battling sickness, fighting depression, anxiety, rejection, betrayal, and deep emotional exhaustion,” he stated.

The county official noted that many people suffer quietly while pretending that everything is fine.

“And the hardest part? You look at your neighbours smiling, laughing, posting happy photos, and you think they are fine yet they too are fighting battles you know nothing about,” he added.

In his message, Mosiria encouraged those who are feeling overwhelmed not to lose hope. He reminded them that tough seasons in life do not last forever.

“If you are reading this while sleepless, with a heavy heart and a restless mind, please hear this: you are not alone, you are not weak, and you are not a failure,” he wrote.

He urged people to keep going despite the pain, saying difficult chapters are not the end of the story.

“Life comes in seasons some are full of joy, others test our strength. This difficult chapter is not your final story. Storms do not last forever. Hold on. Keep believing. Keep praying. Keep pushing even when it hurts,” Mosiria stated.

Adding;

“One day this pain will make sense, and you will look back and realise you survived what almost broke you. To everyone silently struggling tonight your breakthrough may be closer than you think. Don’t give up. Better days are coming.”
