Willy Paul warns fans against lookalike imposter posing as his brother

The singer revealed that the impostor has been exploiting his name to gain favours and manipulate people, creating confusion and harming his reputation despite earlier warnings.
In a post shared on his Instagram on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, Willy Paul detailed how the impersonator had involved unsuspecting individuals.
“It has come to my attention that this individual has also involved unsuspecting individuals, including a woman in Nairobi South B, to whom he falsely claims to be related to me, and another woman in Nairobi Ngara, who is a doctor, and who is also being misled in the same way.”He revealed
The singer emphasised that the impostor continued their activity even after being exposed on his social media accounts.
“Despite previous warnings and having exposed this individual on my social media, they have continued to spread false information and damage my reputation,” Willy Paul said, highlighting the ongoing nature of the deception.
Police Investigation Underway
Willy Paul confirmed that the matter has now reached the authorities. “This matter is now under police investigation, and appropriate legal action is being taken,” he stated, underscoring the seriousness of the case.
The musician urged anyone affected or with concerns to contact him directly, saying, “I urge anyone who has been affected or who has any concerns to reach out to me directly.”
In 2024, Willy Paul also addressed the same issue, clarifying that a man claiming to be his brother had no relation to him.
He urged anyone with concerns or complaints to contact him directly via social media, emphasising that he was not connected to the individual in any way.
”It Has Come To My Attention That The Man In the Above Picture Alleges to Be My Brother. I would Like To Bring To Your Attention That I’m Not In way related To The Man In The Above. If You Have Any complaints, Kindly Hit My Dm,” he said.
