Triza Muraya delivers bombshell to Karangu amid marriage row
By David Nthua, January 19, 2026Triza Mamake Muraya, the estranged wife of Kikuyu gospel musician Karangu Muraya, has also exploded.
Through a brief but fiery post on Facebook on Sunday, January 18, 2026, Triza chose to use Kikuyu dialect to fire up her estranged husband, as the couple’s marriage row continues to draw public attention.
In her message, Triza appeared to respond to Karangu’s earlier post where he defended himself against claims that he had abandoned his children.

Karangu had insisted that he had been present, saying he received a call from the children when they were unwell, took them to hospital, and spent the whole day with them.
“This was on Wednesday this week, when I received a call from my kids that they are not feeling well. I went there and took them to hospital. I spent the entire day with them,” Karangu wrote.
Triza’s warning
However, Triza’s new statement painted a different picture, with the mother of the children telling Karangu to stop involving the kids in what she described as a painful season.
She claimed that someone had advised him to pick up children he rarely sees so that he could prove a point.
After correcting her grammar for clarity, Triza’s message read:
“I allowed you to do what makes you happy, but my kids, stay away from them. A high-ranking advisor has told you to go and pick children you rarely see or even take care of them, so that you can prove a point,” she stated.
“Go and get your own children and stop bothering my children, I beseech you. Allow me to heal my wounds together with my kids.”

Her words quickly sparked mixed reactions online, with some netizens sympathising with her pain, while others urged the two to handle their issues privately for the sake of the children.
Karangu’s defence
In his earlier post, Karangu had said he was hurt by claims that he “threw away” his children, adding that he has been paying household bills and supporting them quietly.
He also alleged that despite his efforts, he had been disrespected in front of the children.
“Kwa hiyo nyumba, mimi huwa nalipa kila bill ya maji, ya stima na mimi huwa naleta shopping,” Karangu wrote.

The gospel singer added that he will continue looking after his children according to his ability, but asked that they should not be dragged into insults or disrespect.
“Mimi nitaendelea kuangalia watoto wangu kadri ya uwezo wangu, but nawaomba kwa heshima… msiingize watoto wangu kwa hiyo madharau,” he appealed.
As the public exchange continues, many fans are now calling for calm, healing, and a solution that protects the children from further online pressure.
