By Valerian Khakayi, March 19, 2026Social media personality and entrepreneur Racheal Waithera Njoroge, widely known as Rakeeri, has painfully opened up about being a victim of cyberbullying and the harsh reality of online trolls.
Speaking during a candid conversation with digital content creator Carol Sonnie in an episode aired on Thursday, March 19, 2026, Rakeeri revealed the deeply hurtful accusations she has faced, especially concerning her daughter’s health journey.
She says some netizens are very bitter.
Rakeeri, reflecting on the online attacks. While criticism is not new to her, she admitted that things took a darker turn when it involved her child.
“People are bitter; they are very bitter,” Rakeeri said.
“First of all it was when it involved my daughter. unaambiwa saa mtoto amerecover after 15 years, then unaambiwa ulikuwa umemutoa sacrifice, nikashindwa mtoto anmasacrifisiwa aje? anasacrifiwa anarudi uhai ama? That was heavy, that was deep, and painful.”

Rakeeri shared that her family has endured years of struggle, including organising multiple fundraisers over a decade to support her daughter’s medical needs. She noted that when people later offered help, she chose a different approach.
“You know we have suffered; tumefanya fundraisers for ten times for ten good years, and when hiyo nilimwendea people asked Rakeeri how can we help you? Nikawaambia there is a way you can help lakini musinichangie. I sell wigs,” she added.
“The condition has been there for 15 years, and now is when I am told I have sacrificed just because I can afford to pay.
Her child’s condition
In addition, she says her daughter’s condition began when she was just nine months old.
After years of uncertainty, doctors eventually diagnosed the condition as osteodysplasia, a rare disorder where bones grow abnormally. The condition requires continuous medical intervention.
“She was born normally, a very normal child with no issues, but after amefika nine months, she began to develop a condition that looked like cerebral palsy. So we started therapy, lakini hatujui ni nini juu mtoto ha hold shingo amefika age ya kusimama lakini hasimami,” Rakeeri revealed.
“Later, after three and a half years, we discovered that she has something called osteodysplasia, a condition whereby the bones grow abnormally, and for her to grow normally, she has to undergo a few surgeries to correct it because it is a recurring condition. As she grows, it recurs.”

Now 16 years old, her daughter has already undergone 12 surgeries and is awaiting another.
“It has been a journey since from nine months old, now she has turned 16 years old, with twelve surgeries and awaiting one. It is like every year, surgery,” she added.
“Currently, she is okay lakini mguu imewachana kidogo na like two inches.”
Despite the progress, Rakeeri says the accusations have been deeply hurtful, especially given the years of sacrifice and resilience behind her daughter’s recovery.
