‘Staki mambo ya online tena’ – Dama Wa Spares declares after disappointment

She shared that her experience with them has been characterised by painful challenges that have left her with many questions.
The businesswoman questioned whether she takes the wrong people or the employees end up taking her online personality to work.
“Anyone we have offered job from online wametu let down, hata unashindwa kama ni yeye alikuwa anabeg apewe job, ni jokes mnakuanga na mob au ni sisi huwa tunachukua the wrong people? Au huwa wanafikiri vile niko na jokes huku ukiingia kazi ni jokes pia (All people who reached out online and got jobs with us have ended up disappointing us. Could it be that we pick the wrong people or do they see me joke a lot online and extend the same to work)?” Dama stated in a Facebook post on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
Why Dama no longer trusts those seeking jobs online
The experience eroded her trust on anyone seeking a job online because those she has given an opportunity have ended up disappointing her.
“This has made me not to trust anyone begging for job online. Wewe utabeg aje job na ukiajiriwa unaingia job ile time unataka? Ukiskia kutoingia unakosa tu without even communicating ni kama wewe ndio mdosi? ,” she added.
Dama reveals preference for employees sourced from upcountry
She admitted that those who have disappointed her have also spoiled many genuine people who are looking for opportunities online.
She also revealed her preference for employees sourced from her upcountry, adding that her experience with them has been good and in the event of any misbehaviour, all she has to do is to call the parents.
“This is the reason I prefer watu wa ushago kwetu, aki misbehave nitapigia mama yake , staki mambo ya online tena. Huku ni jockers na kazi. Wamekosea sana juu wameharibia wale wazuri.
Dama, who owns a thriving mobile phone spare parts business, has in the past intervened to offer jobs to people who reached out online.
