Size 8 to host 2-day crusade to celebrate completion of her new mansion
By Ascah Mwango, April 23, 2026Gospel sensation Size 8 is set to swap the stage for the pulpit this weekend as she hosts a massive two-day crusade to mark the completion of her new mansion.
The singer-turned-pastor revealed she will be holding the religious gathering in Njiru, Nairobi, as a way of giving back to God after successfully finishing the construction of her sprawling new residence.
Speaking to radio personality Ankali Ray on Thursday, April 23, 2026, the mother of two explained that the event is intended to inspire others who may feel limited by their humble beginnings.
Size 8, whose real name is Linet Munyali, has been vocal about her journey from a secular pop star to a dedicated minister. She believes her new home is a testament to divine provision.
“Na nataka kuambia wenzangu no matter your background mahali umetoka umezaliwa jua Mungu anawezesha,” she said. (“I want to tell my fellow people, no matter your background or where you were born, know that God enables.”)
She continued: “Na kwa sababu Mungu amefanya, nimeandaa crusade pale Njiru, pale nyuma ya Makama hardware Njiru—Saturday na Sunday. Naambia Mungu asante na crusade.” (“And because God has done it, I have prepared a crusade there in Njiru, behind Makama hardware—Saturday and Sunday. I am telling God thank you with a crusade.”)
A house built on faith
While many celebrities opt for lavish housewarming parties with champagne and guest lists of the rich and famous, Size 8’s decision to hold a crusade highlights her transition into full-time ministry.
The ‘Mateke’ singer has frequently shared snippets of the construction process with her millions of followers, often attributing the progress to the grace of God rather than her own efforts in the entertainment industry.
The mansion, a long-term project for Size 8 and her husband DJ Mo, is located in Daykio Bustani Estate – a gated community along Kiganjo Road off Thika Superhighway.
However, she has chosen to hold her celebration in the more accessible Njiru neighbourhood to reach a wider congregation.
The crusade, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, is expected to draw hundreds of worshippers and fans alike.
Size 8’s move comes at a time when she has been increasingly focused on her ministry, moving away from the mainstream music charts to focus on evangelical work.
For the star, the new mansion isn’t just a sign of financial success, but a platform to preach her message that Mungu anawezesha (God makes it possible) to anyone willing to believe.
