Salasya: Baba’s spirit will one day make Oketch Salah go mad

By , January 28, 2026

Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya has said the spirit of Baba (Raila Odinga) will one day make Oketch Salah go mad and reveal the truth about what happened.

In a statement on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, he claimed that Baba was a spirit and that the conversations Salah is leading are guiding the spirit toward the truth. Salasya insists that Winnie Odinga and Junior are the true DNA of Baba and cannot betray him.

He says, “The spirit of Baba one day will make Oketch Salah go mad and spill the beans on what exactly happened.”

Salasya adds that he likes the direction Salah is taking because it allows the spirit of Baba to continue leading them to the truth.

According to Salasya, the family bloodline is strong and loyal.

“One thing I know, Winnie and Junior are the true DNA of Baba and can’t betray him,” he says.

He believes the spirit of Baba is actively influencing events and that the truth will eventually be revealed through Salah.

Oketch Salah and the truth

Speaking exclusively to a local TV station on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Winnie Odinga addressed recent claims about her father, the late former prime minister Raila Odinga. She said Oketch Salah was not present when her father died and dismissed his recent statements as false and dangerous.

Winnie directly said, “I have met Oketch Salah, but I’d like to believe nobody really knows him. A flat-out lie that you were there at the time of my father’s death and you were not, and talking about things that did not occur, is quite dangerous and makes me question his intentions.”

Oketch Salah identifies himself as Raila Odinga’s adopted son. He has made claims about being present at the late Baba’s passing, but Winnie says this is untrue. She stresses that these statements create confusion and are not based on facts.

Her remarks come days after Oketch Salah, an influential figure within ODM, published an emotional tribute in which he described his relationship with the late Raila Odinga.

Salasya continues to defend the role of ‘Baba’s spirit’ in revealing the truth. He says the spirit will guide the right people and eventually expose events that some may wish to hide.
