Ruth K opens up on 8-day ordeal as baby cries nonstop despite hospital visits
By Ascah Mwango, January 3, 2026Digital creator Ruth K has shared an emotional account of a painful eight-day ordeal involving her son Oyando Junior, who has been crying continuously despite several hospital visits in Nairobi.
In a post shared on her Instagram page on Friday, January 2, 2026, Ruth revealed that her child, whom she shares with comedian Mulamwah, has been in visible distress for more than a week, barely eating or sleeping.
She described the experience as one of the hardest seasons of her life, noting that the emotional weight of the situation had carried over from the end of 2025 into the beginning of the new year.
According to Ruth, the family has sought medical help from some of the best hospitals in Nairobi, hoping to find answers. However, doctors have not been able to identify any illness or medical condition that could explain the baby’s persistent crying, leaving her confused, helpless, and deeply worried.
“Lately alot has been happening my baby has been crying non stop, for almost 8 days. No eating, no sleeping, this has been the toughest season of life. My 2025 ended with sadness and 2026 began with ths same mood. This video is just a percentage of whats we have been going through has really broken my heart. We have visited the best hospitals in Nairobi for checkups, but unfortunately, no illness has been found,” Ruth K stated.

She explained that the video she shared only shows a small part of what they have been going through at home. The situation, she said, has taken a heavy emotional toll on her as a parent, breaking her heart as she struggles to understand what might be wrong with her child.

Ruth added that sharing the post was not easy, but she felt compelled to open up from a place of pain and fear. She described herself as a heartbroken parent searching for answers, unsure of what steps to take next as her baby continues to suffer.
“Am posting this here with a heavy heart😭😭just a heartbroken parent who can’t understand what is going on and what to do,” she lamented.
