Ndeke ya Muthanga shares why his niece holds a special place in his heart

Kamba dancer and gospel singer Ndeke ya Muthanga has opened up about the deep bond he shares with his niece, revealing why she means so much to him.
In a heartfelt Facebook post on Thursday, April 9, 2026, the entertainer explained that he lives with two children, both of whom belong to his sister, highlighting the close-knit nature of their family.
He went on to speak fondly about the young girl, describing her as someone who is very attached to him and openly expresses her affection.
“There are two of us here; these are my sister’s children. My home is always open to them; they can come and stay whenever they want. This baby girl belongs to my sister,” Ndeke wrote.
According to Ndeke, the little girl proudly tells her friends about her “mjomba”, often boasting that her uncle is a singer, owns a car, and has plenty of money.
He also shared a recent moment that further illustrated their strong connection. The child had cried the previous day and later insisted on being brought to him, a gesture that clearly demonstrated how much comfort and joy she finds in his presence.
Ndeke admitted that he had not greeted her properly the last time she visited his home, something that may have contributed to her reaction.
“Yesterday she cried and insisted on being brought to me because the last time she came to my place, I didn’t greet her properly since I was busy,” he added.
The entertainer added that whenever the young girl visits him, he makes sure she is well taken care of. From buying her yoghurt to giving her money for small treats like soda, he ensures she leaves happy, sometimes even sending her back with extra money for her mother.
“She loves me so much and even tells her friends that her uncle has a car, is a singer, and has a lot of money. So whenever she comes where I am, I make sure to buy her yoghurt and give her money for her mum,” he wrote.

In his emotional message, Ndeke expressed immense love for the child, referring to her as his daughter, a phrase that underscored just how significant she is in his life. He further offered a heartfelt prayer, asking God to protect her and watch over her always.
“And if she wants soda, I give her money for it. I love you, my daughter; may God always protect you,” Ndeke wrote.
