Mosiria rescues 4-year-old boy after he was brutally abused by own father in South B
By David Nthua, January 26, 2026It is inhumane of the highest grade for anyone to think that they can beat their children anytime, as if they are beating drums, Geoffrey Mosiria has cautioned.
Through a touching Facebook post, the Nairobi chief officer regretted that a boy had been beaten by his father.
He went on to describe the horrifying scene and actions he took to protect the child.

Mosiria condemns child violence
“SO PAINFUL WATCHING THIS YOU WILL CRY!! Today, I responded to a distress call from South B following reports of a child who had been rescued by a courageous lady, together with concerned neighbours, from his own father who had been brutally abusing him,” Mosiria wrote.
He arrived at the scene to find a four-year-old boy in very bad condition, with swollen eyes and multiple injuries, clear signs of severe abuse inflicted by his father.
Mosiria quickly rescued the child and took him to the police station, where the matter was formally reported.
The boy was then rushed to Mbagathi Hospital for urgent medical treatment and later placed in a secure children’s home to ensure his safety and protection.
Mosiria calls for police action

The Nairobi chief officer called on the National Police Service to act swiftly and arrest the person of interest who happens to be the father, so that he can face the full force of the law for violating the child’s rights.
“No child deserves violence. Every child deserves protection, care, and dignity. We will not relent until justice is served,” Mosiria said.
In his post, Mosiria urged the public to remain vigilant and report any incidents of child abuse.
He stressed that protecting children is a collective responsibility and that acts of cruelty against minors must be met with decisive legal action.
The incident has sparked widespread concern, highlighting the need for stricter measures to safeguard children from domestic violence and abuse.
