Manzi Wa Mombasa to hold birthday for child she named Brian Chira at Pastor Kanyari’s church
By Steve Ireri, January 3, 2026TikToker Manzi Wa Mombasa has announced that she will be celebrating the first birthday of her daughter, Baby Chira, at Salvation Healing Ministry in Kayole Junction.
In a video message shared on TikTok on Saturday, January 3, 2026, the TikToker said she chose to celebrate at Pastor Kanyari’s church as a way of giving thanks and inviting the community to join in the joyous occasion.
“Hi guys, it’s Manzi wa Mombasa here, and I am with Baby Chira. Baby Chira will be turning one year old on January 15,” she said.
Baby Chira will officially turn one year old on January 15, but the birthday celebration is scheduled to take place on January 18, 2026, at the church.

Manzi wa Mombasa invited the public to attend the event, welcoming everyone to join the celebrations at Pastor Kanyari’s church.
The occasion, she added, is set to include prayers, blessings, and a gathering of family, friends, and members of the local community.
“Though the birthday is on the 15th, we will celebrate her birthday at Salvation Healing Ministry in Kayole Junction. Everyone is welcome to join us. The event will take place on January 18,” she shared.
Growth update
The announcement comes just two days after the TikToker, who recently became a full member of Kanyari’s church, shared an update on the growth and eating habits of her child.
“Hi guys, this is Baby Chira. Today he is eating greens, ugali, and vegetables. I have tried my best to feed him, but he keeps refusing food,” she said.
She explained that while she prepares meals including greens, ugali, and vegetables, the child often plays with the food, pouring it on the sofa.
“I even tried cutting the ugali into small pieces and mixing it with the cabbage, but it did not work. Now, what he does is play with the food and pour it on the sofa,” she shared.
Manzi Wa Mombasa described her attempts to encourage him to eat, including cutting the ugali into small pieces and mixing it with vegetables, but noted that these efforts have largely been unsuccessful.
She reassured followers that she is not worried when he picks the food from the sofa, as it is clean, and said the situation demonstrates the child’s independence and determination to feed himself.
“The good thing is that he still eats it afterwards. Because the sofa is clean, I am not worried when he picks up the food from there. That is how he eats, and it seems like he likes to feed himself. He has refused to be fed,” Manzi Wa Mombasa said.

Brian Chira, after whom the child is named, was a popular content creator on TikTok and a well-known advocate for people living with HIV.
Manzi Wa Mombasa was part of Chira’s inner circle, which included popular creators such as LGBTQ TikToker Jude Magambo, known as Manzi Wa Meru, Mombasa influencer Chesoni, and several others.
