Lydia Wanjiru explains why women return to relationships before finally moving on
By Paulette Mboga, February 20, 2026Lydia Wanjiru says women can go back to men until their minds agree to leave for good.
She shared her view on Friday, February 20, 2026, in a strong message about breakups and getting back together in public.
She said, “Mimi, I’m team go back as many times as possible until the day your body, heart & mind will sync together for you to leave for good! But don’t be stupid. Let the man speak for himself.”
She said people should not carry another person’s burden in public.
“Kwanza publicly, kila mtu abebe mzigo yake please,” she said.
She questioned cases where a man is silent when getting back together after showing a new relationship.
“He’s been loudly parading his new love and has nothing to say when getting back?” she asked.
She added, “And you say you’ve been praying for restoration? While he was having a time of his life? No way X.”
She was referring to the story of celebrity couple Rena and Ritchie Mdosi’s breakup and then getting back together.
“Hio story ya Rena (Wadosi family) imenipea stress waaah!” she said.
She said the problem is not going back.
“Shida sio kurudia hata,” she said.
She said the problem is when one person speaks for both sides.
“Shida ni ati ni yeye anaongea alafu anamalizia na maombi, while the guy just stands there.”

Public breakups and silence
Lydia Wanjiru said the issue becomes worse when the man has just been with another woman days before.
“A man who was living with another lady 4 days ago!” she said.
She said the same man had been showing that relationship online.
“A lady he’s been parading online,” she said.
Wanjiru questioned how reflection could happen in such a short time.
“When did he have time to reflect to want to be back with Reina?” she asked.
She said public dating brings shame to women.
“I swear to God, dating men in public is humiliation ritual,” she said.
She ended by saying she does not accept this kind of public return. “You can’t tell me otherwise,” she said.
