Liz Jackson says women face danger everywhere as she calls out men

By , April 29, 2026

Digital content creator Liz Jackson has said women face danger everywhere as she called out men over daily experiences that make many feel unsafe.

On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, she explained that the issue is often shifted to women instead of addressing the behaviour of men. She said the reality women face in public spaces remains difficult.

“Not all men, but it’s always a man instead of saying don’t travel solo as a female, why not tell the men to be well behaved!” Liz Jackson said.

She explained that women are often warned to limit their movements instead of men being told to act responsibly. She said this approach ignores the real problem and places pressure on women. She added that such thinking continues to affect how women move in public.

“The reality of being a woman. Bad men are everywhere,” she said.

Liz Jackson also raised concerns about how victims are questioned after incidents. She said people still ask what a woman was wearing instead of focusing on the actions of the man involved. She explained that this blame is unfair and does not solve the issue.

“And you will still find some people asking the victim, ‘what were you wearing as if we do the same when y’all walk around in tight trousers/shorts suffocating your groin,” Liz Jackson said.

Daily experiences women face in public

She went on to describe situations women face in everyday life. She said even simple activities like walking in town can turn uncomfortable. She explained that some street nail technicians call out to women in ways that ignore personal space.

“Street nail techs pulling you ‘mrembo nails’ it’s like they understand body language better,” she said.

Liz Jackson added that catcalling is another common experience. She said some men shout at women on the street and react negatively when ignored. She explained that such behaviour creates fear and discomfort.

“Walking, minding your business and men start cat calling, if you don’t respond they insult you,” Liz Jackson said.

She also described how some comments from men can feel invasive. She said hearing remarks about a woman’s body while walking is disturbing. She explained that these moments happen often and affect how safe women feel.

“Walking and then you hear ‘huyu ni size yangu,” she said.

Liz Jackson concluded by explaining why she avoids certain areas.
