Liz Jackson opens up on why she prefers surrogacy over carrying a pregnancy
By Valerian Khakayi, February 26, 2026Digital content creator and influencer Liz Jackson has shared why she would choose surrogacy over carrying a pregnancy herself.
In a heartfelt statement shared on her official Instagram account on Thursday, February 26, 2026, Liz said that if given a choice between carrying a pregnancy and opting for surrogacy, she would choose surrogacy without hesitation.
According to her, the conversation around surrogacy in Kenya needs to shift from judgement to understanding.
“If I were given a choice between carrying a pregnancy myself and choosing surrogacy, I would choose surrogacy without hesitation,” Liz said.
“It’s time for surrogacy to be legalised and properly regulated in Kenya.”
In addition, Liz was clear that her stance is not about avoiding the physical pain or challenges that come with pregnancy. Instead, she sees surrogacy as an act of compassion and empowerment.
“It’s not about avoiding the pain of pregnancy, it’s about creating an opportunity to support women who struggle with fertility,” she added.

Why surrogacy matters
For Liz, surrogacy represents choice and solidarity among women. She believes it offers a chance for women facing infertility challenges to experience motherhood, something she describes as deeply meaningful.
“For me, surrogacy represents compassion, choice, and a chance to help another woman experience motherhood,” Liz noted.
She also weighed in on the broader debate surrounding reproductive rights, insisting that decisions about women’s bodies should be left to women.
“People without wombs should not be the ones making decisions about women’s bodies. Reproductive choices belong to women they deserve autonomy, respect and the freedom to decide what’s best for themselves,” she added.

Love for kids
Liz further opened up about her deep love for children, revealing that she once stopped visiting children’s homes because of how emotionally attached she would become.
” I love kids. I even stopped going to children homes because I meet kids and i will feel bad for leaving them there. Empathy personality plus charity deadly combination,”she added.
