Rapper Lil Pump says he left music because of witchcraft practices in the industry

By , March 10, 2026

Rapper Lil Pump has clarified that his step back from the music scene was influenced by what he saw as occult practices among industry insiders.

In a livestream conversation on Monday, March 9, 2026 with host Neon, Pump claimed that he witnessed people using witchcraft to advance their careers.

“People were offering all kinds of strange things, like witchcraft,” Pump said. “They’d start performing rituals, putting up pictures, cutting chickens, all that. I’m just not about that.” He added that while he believes such practices happen widely in the industry, he personally never participated.

Although he mentioned that even “big names” are involved, Pump did not reveal any specific individuals. He described the situation as “weird” and explained that it made him step away from the music world.

In recent years, Lil Pump’s career has slowed compared to his peak between 2017 and 2019. During that period, he had high-profile collaborations with artists like Lil Wayne and Kanye West.

However, he has not appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 or Billboard 200 charts since 2019. His recent projects, including No Name with Ronny J and Lil Pump 2, also failed to chart.

Pump has remained active online, appearing on livestreams and sharing updates with fans.

In 2025, he joined controversial influencer Sneako for a stream, expressing gratitude for fan support during his financial challenges.

“I’m thankful for my family, my fans, and just everything in general,” Pump said. “Good friends are rare, and I appreciate those who stick with me.”

The rapper has also been vocal about his political views, publicly supporting Donald Trump during the 2024 elections.

Despite his controversial statements and reduced chart presence, Lil Pump continues to engage with his fanbase directly through online platforms.
