Kanyari urges Marion Naipei to change, says her conduct could cost him Kasarani MP ambitions
By Ascah Mwango, May 11, 2026Controversial cleric Pastor Victor Kanyari has made a desperate public plea to Marion Naipei, warning that her erratic conduct could derail his dreams of becoming the next Member of Parliament for Kasarani.
In a raw and emotional video posted to his Facebook account on Sunday, May 10, 2026, the preacher confronted Naipei in front of his congregation, admitting that his 2027 political ambitions are hanging by a thread.
The pastor did not hold back in expressing his anxieties regarding his upcoming election bid, specifically pointing to Naipei as a potential liability on the campaign trail.
In a caption accompanying the footage, Kanyari wrote: “I’m afraid to loose the 2027 Mp sit because of Marion Naipei, so if the church has forgiven her lets all forgive her na pia yeye anachange”.
Addressing her directly during the service, he warned of the consequences her lifestyle could have on his political standing:
“Utasababisha ata hii kiti ya Kasarani sitapata kwa sababu yako. Watu wanaongea uko nkienda kufanya campaign, wanaongea vibaya. Wanasema Kanyari ahh huyu msichana…”.

Despite the political risk, Kanyari insisted he remains committed to her recovery, telling her:
“Niko ready kutukanwa juu yako. Si ujaribu tu ubadilike mama yangu. Na mimi nko tayari kukusaidia, nko tayari kukufanyia chochote unataka”.
The sermon also shed light on the significant financial and professional support Kanyari has extended to Naipei, despite her controversial reputation.
The pastor revealed that she has high-level access to his ministry, stating:
“Hapa nimekupatia ruhusa unapaka watu mafuta, tuko na wewe kwa ofisi ukinipigia simu, ata ukiwa na shida ya nyumba ninakulipia, ata secretary haniulizangi anakupeanga pesa bure”.
Concluding his intervention, Kanyari called on the women of his church to provide a support system for the embattled Naipei.
“Tafadhali wamama wa kanisa kaeni karibu na Naipei,” Kanyari urged female faithful at his church.
