Pastor Victor Kanyari has shared a deeply emotional reflection on fatherhood, healing, and faith as he navigates a difficult season following the death of Betty Bayo, a period that has drawn intense public attention and online discussion.

In a statement on Facebook on Thursday, December 18, 2025, Kanyari spoke about moments when life feels overwhelming, and strength seems hard to find.

He revealed that during such times, it is his children, Sky and Danny, who give him the courage to keep going.

“There are days when the weight of life feels too heavy to carry, when words fail, and the heart feels tired. In those moments, I look at Sky and Danny, and I remember why I must keep going,” he wrote.

The pastor said fatherhood has taken on a deeper meaning during this season, teaching him that true strength is not about appearing unshaken, but about staying present even when hurting.

He described his children as both his responsibility and his source of strength, saying their innocence, courage, and quiet love have helped him find purpose amid pain.

“They don’t just need my strength… they give me strength. They have become my anchor,” Kanyari shared.

Reflecting on the healing process, Kanyari noted that recovery does not happen instantly but slowly, through love, patience, and faith.

“And to anyone walking through a storm of their own: hold on. Hope still lives. God is still faithful. And brighter days will come,” he added.

Betty Bayo’s mother

This comes days after Betty Bayo’s mother resurfaced with a firm and urgent declaration demanding that a postmortem be conducted on her late daughter’s body, saying the family needs clarity on the exact cause of death.

Speaking during a Facebook live with Shiru Wa Oakland on the night of Saturday, December 6, 2025, she expressed deep concern about the unanswered questions surrounding Bayo’s final moments and asserted that only a forensic examination would bring the truth to light.

“A postmortem must be carried out on my daughter’s body so that we can have clarity on what exactly killed her,” she said.

In her statement, she said she was also gravely concerned about the welfare of her grandchildren and insisted they be moved immediately from the house they are currently living in, citing safety concerns.
