Prophet Victor Kanyari has opened up about why he is still single following his separation from his late ex-wife, Betty Bayo.

Speaking during an interview with local YouTuber, Kanyari, revealed that he has not yet found the right person to settle down with.

The preacher stated that he was once ready to marry again but has not found a woman he truly connects with emotionally.

He further recounted his marriage with Bayo, disclosing how they met and fell in love naturally

Nilikuwa nioe, lakini sijapata mtu wa kuoa. Mapenzi ni roho wakati nilioa Betty Bayo, tulipatana na tukapendana, sasa mimi sijapata mtu wakupenda,” Kanyari said.

Kanyari added that he believes real love goes beyond appearances and begins with a deep emotional connection.

Siku nitapata mtu ajitokeze atoke Facebook, TikTok, akuje anitembele roho zishekane tutaoana na mtaona harusi,” he added.

Ideal woman

The Salvation Healing Ministries founder also shared his preference when it comes to physical appearance, noting that he prefers petite women.

Mimi siwezi sema taste yangu. I just like small people sipende watu wakubwa sana, mimi ni mnono so plus mnono mwenzangu itakuwa mission impossible,” he added.

Choosing a bachelor’s life

The preacher, speaking during the late Bayo’s memorial service on Sunday, November 16, 2025, said that most of the women he meets now do not meet the standards he values in a life partner.

“The reason why I have never remarried is that I have never found a woman like Betty Bayo again. The other women I meet are either crazy or lack the qualities I want in a life partner,” Kanyari said.

He explained that he has never met a woman in his church who is emotionally stable, intelligent, and capable of managing a household while also being a supportive partner.

The pastor added that he would rather remain single than take someone randomly and risk problems for himself or his children.

“I have never met a woman in this church who is mentally stable and whom I would consider marrying. The women in this church are not of sound mind, and I know how to read character,” Kanyari added.

Kanyari said his focus on his children has also influenced his decision to remain single.

He explained that even as he grows older, he prioritises the well-being of Dani and Sky Victor, making sure they are in the right environment.

He emphasised the need to protect his family from women who could disrupt his household or negatively influence his children.

“I cannot take someone randomly to trouble my children or myself. I would rather stay alone. I will stay alone,” the preacher shared.

Kanyari has remained unmarried since his marriage to the late gospel singer Betty Bayo ended more than seven years ago.
